Skoda has started producing its compact SUV, Karoq in its plant in Czech Republic. Back in 1947, Skoda Superb was company’s first car to begin its production at the very same facility. It has been disclosed that the delivery for the Skoda Karoq will start in month of October this year. While the larger Skoda Kodiaq is offered in five and seven seat configuration, the Skoda Karoq will only be offered in 5-seat configuration due to its smaller dimensions.
Rumors are brewing that Skoda will be churning out a lot of SUVs in coming months as there is more and more interest for cars with high riding positions. There is no word if the Skoda Karoq will ever be brought to India but we will keep you posted on this. However, if it ever does, it will cost no less than 20 lakh Indian rupees.
The new KAROQ is neither big, nor small. It’s not big when you need to park in a row of cars on the street, and it’s not small when you need to transport your family or a larger load. The 2,638 mm wheelbase hints at the interior roominess and ample longitudinal space. Likewise, the luggage compartment, offering a volume of 521 litres, is top of the class.
